Between the 15th and 17th of Winter, the Night Market festival takes over the Stardew Valley docks.

This unique festival brings a fleet of mysterious boats and merchants to the Beach, offering a stark contrast to the quiet winter days.

Unlike other festivals, the Night Market takes place in the evening. The air is filled with festive music, and the docks are illuminated by colorful lights.

The Night Market itself is open from 5 pm until 2 am daily.

However, you should plan your schedule carefully. The main attractions have earlier closing times.

The Submarine Ride closes at 11 pm, and the famous Stardew Valley Mermaid Show boat closes its doors at 12:30 am.

Stardew Valley Mermaid Show Boat

The mermaid show boat is open from 5 pm to 12:30 am daily during the Night Market Festival.

It is easily one of the most visually striking boats at the dock. When you enter, you are transported to a psychedelic underwater stage.

A mermaid will appear and begin a musical performance accompanied by a cut scene.

The performance lasts for about 1 hour and 40 minutes in in-game time.

It is beautiful, but long! Fortunately, you are not trapped there. You can leave the boat at any time if you have other things to do.

**Pro Tip:** If you want to watch the entire show without losing precious evening hours, simply open your game menu or inventory.

This will stop the clock from ticking, allowing you to enjoy the music and visuals without wasting any in-game time.

After the show concludes, five clam shells will remain on the stage. These are interactive!

If you play the correct musical notes on these shells, you will receive a special secret pearl.

To solve the puzzle, you need to click the shells in a specific sequence.

This sequence is actually hinted at in Secret Note #15, but if you haven’t found that note yet, we have the solution for you.

Play the clam shells in this order (from left to right): 1-5-4-2-3.

Successfully playing this code [15423] will reward you with a Pearl.

Note that you can only receive one pearl from the Mermaid Show per player per saved game.

You are free to return and watch the show as many times as you like, but the prize is a one-time event.

How to Get Pearl Step by Step?

1. Visit the Night Market on the Beach (Winter 15-17).
2. Enter the Mermaid Show Boat between 5 pm and 12:30 am.
3. Wait for the show to finish (or enjoy the music!).
4. Click the clam shells in this order (Left to Right):  1-5-4-2-3
5. Collect your free Pearl!

What is the Pearl Used For?

Now that you have this rare item, what should you do with it?

Selling: The Pearl is valuable and ships for 2,500g.

Gifting: It is a Universally Loved gift. Every villager in Stardew Valley loves receiving a Pearl.

Tailoring: You can use the Pearl in a sewing machine to create a Bridal Veil headpiece.

Fish Ponds: Occasionally, Blobfish may request a Pearl to increase their pond capacity.

About Mermaid Show Stardew Valley

The Night Market is distinct from most other festivals in Stardew Valley.

While events like the Egg Festival pause time completely, the Night Market runs on the standard game clock.

This means you can visit the market, shop, and then return to your farm to continue chores if you wish.

Because the festival takes place on the beach, the map changes temporarily.

Items you have placed on the beach, such as chests or crab pots, may disappear during the festival days.

Do not worry—they are not gone forever. They will reappear when the Night Market ends on Winter 18.

You can still complete regular activities like fishing (which yields unique deep-sea fish in the submarine!) or gathering shells.

However, the normal beach forage is usually replaced by the market setup.

Another unique feature is that villagers are available for conversation.

Since time is passing, talking to villagers at the Night Market does increase your friendship points, just like a normal day.

It is a great opportunity to hand out gifts while browsing the shops.

Mermaid Show Boat

To recap, the Mermaid Show is a highlight of the evening, open from 5 pm to 12:30 am.

The melody played during the show is hypnotic and adds a wonderful atmosphere to the winter season.

Remember, you can skip the performance if you are only there for the treasure, but watching it at least once is recommended for the full experience.

Once the curtains close, that is your cue to solve the puzzle.

Right-click the clam shells in the 1-5-4-2-3 order.

This unlocks the Mermaid Pearl, a rare item that is hard to come by outside of this event.
